Tom Gregory, aka Commodore Gregory, tomgtv............
My first boat was a Reinell 21' Cuddy Cabin with a 350cu OMC Sterndrive. I bought it new in 1978 and used it on Lake Lanier in Georgia and paid $6700.
I then bought a 26' Trojan Flybridge in 1980 and after cruising Lake Lanier I moved it to Rivo Alto Island on the Venetian Causeway in Miami Beach. Lots of good adventures learning how to navigate in South Florida waters with the twin dangers of shallow waters and cocaine cowboys in their go fast boats!
My next vessel was a joint partnership in a SeaRay cruiser docked in Marina del Ray (Los Angeles). After a few outings in 55 degree water and 8 foot waves I decided boating on the west coast wasn't for me.
Back in Florida again (after a 7 year stop in Texas) I bought a 30' SeaRay with 2 small block V8's straight inboards. I was complaining about $1.35 gas with my 200 of tank capacity. Forget about it!
I did buy a Yamaha VX110 3 seater in Texas. Not many places to ride, Canyon Lake north of San Antonio and the Gulf of Mexico were the main areas.
So a couple of years ago I got a used SeaDoo GSX and my son Tommy and I have been ridin' since. Came across Greenhulk and as they say, the rest is history!
